The Complete Guide to Gradient Photoshop
1. Gradient Fills
To activate the Gradient tool in Photoshop, pressing the G key is the fastest. When you look at the top toolbar, there will be 5 different icons from left to right, respectively linear, radial, angle, reflected and diamond.
Linear Gradient
This style will apply a gradient in a straight line from the start point to the end point.
Radial Gradient
Create a fill circle with the starting point as the center and the shade as the end point.
Angle Gradient
Starting and ending in an angle, the two colors blend in a clockwise motion from the starting color to the end color around the offset angle.
Reflected Gradient
Create a mirror color style, the color effect is duplicated with the endpoint color on both sides of the starting point color.
Diamond Gradient
Create a gradient of a diamond shape, starting with a diamond and transforming at the end.
2. Gradient Color Correction
After choosing the type of fill you want at Gradient Fill, we will choose the type of color we want to use. Click the color box in the toolbar to select the color you want.
Click on the gear icon and then display the menu as shown below to select a specific color type.
Customize Gradient
We click on the color frame to open the Gradient Editor . Here we can edit the color at the slider below. We will see that there is a Solid gradient that creates a color transition between many colors and a Noise gradient that has a more random color dispersion.
3. How to Use Gradient in Photoshop
After knowing some information about the Gradient tool in Photoshop, we can immediately apply it to the image to change the image color gamut.
